Murukku Recipe With Mappillai Samba Rice

Preparation of Murukku Recipe:

  1. In a mixing pan, take Naturalist Mapillai Samba flour, Naturalist Urad Dal flour, salt, hing, and chili powder and mix well.
  2. Add ghee to the mixture and start kneading using warm water. Keep kneading until the dough is smooth and soft. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
  3. Take Murukku press and fill it with a portion of dough. Press it on a kitchen towel in a circular motion to make round murukku shape. Make Murukkus with all kneaded dough in the same manner.
  4. Heat Naturalist Cold pressed Groundnut oil in a frying pan.
  5. Once the oil is hot, lower the flame to low-medium and deep fry murukku in batches.
  6. Fry till oil sizzling sound stops and it turns crispy .
  7. Once done, strain from the oil & keep on tissue papers. Your crispy, healthy snacks is ready. Once it cools down, store in an airtight container.
