Ingredients:
- 3 cups Naturalist Mappillai Samba Rice Flour
- ½ cup Naturalist Urad Dal mix
- Naturalist Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of Hing
- 1/4 cup Roasted Gram flour
- Warm Water - to knead
- 1 tbsp Ghee / Butter
- 2 tbsp Warm Cooking Oil
- 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
Preparation of Murukku Recipe:
- In a mixing pan, take Naturalist Mapillai Samba flour, Naturalist Urad Dal flour, salt, hing, and chili powder and mix well.
- Add ghee to the mixture and start kneading using warm water. Keep kneading until the dough is smooth and soft. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Take Murukku press and fill it with a portion of dough. Press it on a kitchen towel in a circular motion to make round murukku shape. Make Murukkus with all kneaded dough in the same manner.
- Heat Naturalist Cold pressed Groundnut oil in a frying pan.
- Once the oil is hot, lower the flame to low-medium and deep fry murukku in batches.
- Fry till oil sizzling sound stops and it turns crispy .
- Once done, strain from the oil & keep on tissue papers. Your crispy, healthy snacks is ready. Once it cools down, store in an airtight container.
